Summer is in full swing and the folks at We Do Campstoves has been busy in the shop, but not so busy that we haven't been spending time outdoors doing what we like best - Hiking and Backpacking with family and friends.
Located in beautiful Upstate New York, We Do Campstoves has some of the best hiking and backpacking sites right in our (almost) backyard. The Adirondaks and the Catskills offer some of the best places in the East for our favorite activity. While out on our adventures this summer, we decided to put some of our new Vargo Alcohol Campstoves and Cooksets to the test.
We're accustomed to carrying some of the larger cooksets and campstoves - My trusty Dragonfly from MSR has seen many an outing - So when I packed one of the new Vargo Triad Titanium campstoves, two Vargo Ti-Lite Mugs and a bottle of denatured alcohol, you can imagine my surprise when I started to wonder where all of this 'extra' space came from within my normally full and slightly heavy pack. Gee... I HAD to have forgotten something!
No, Nothing forgotten... We had everything we needed for a great meal. All, that is, except the heavy pack! Oh yes, did I mention how quiet an alcohol stove is? Oh, you like the sound of a jet engine while you're cooking? How silly you can be at times... Give me a break! The only break you'll be getting is the break from the weight and size of your pack!
